Ann Sweeney takes on expanded global role as Executive Vice President, Digital Strategy & Policy

Iain Morris promoted to newly-created role Head of Digital, Europe
Warner/Chappell Music, the global music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, today announced three key appointments as it continues to grow its digital business around the world. Ann Sweeney has been named Executive Vice President, Digital Strategy & Policy, expanding her role to take on global responsibilities. Based in New York and reporting to Cameron Strang, Chairman & CEO, Warner/Chappell, Sweeney will drive a cohesive digital licensing strategy, oversee WCM’s approach to digital legislation, and collaborate with the company’s affiliates to build partnerships with both established and emerging service providers. She will also continue to play a leading role in Warner/Chappell’s relationships with U.S. performing rights societies and industry organizations such as National Music Publishers Association (NMPA).
In addition, Stephen Dallas has been appointed as Vice President, Digital Legal Affairs & Business Development. He will negotiate and execute digital licensing agreements with third parties as well as explore new business opportunities in the digital ecosystem.
Based in London, Iain Morris has been promoted to the newly created role Head of Digital, Europe, becoming the primary point of contact for digital licensees across the region. Morris will take responsibility for driving Warner/Chappell’s Pan-European Digital Licensing (PEDL) initiative, as well as managing relationships and overseeing negotiations with existing and prospective digital partners. Both Dallas and Morris will report to Sweeney.
