Warner Music Nordic today announced the promotion of Mark Fry to the newly created position of VP, Marketing, Recorded Music. Effective immediately, Fry will report Jonas Siljemark, President, Warner Music Nordic in his new role, while continuing to report to Niko Nordstrom, General Manager, Warner Music Finland in his original capacity of Marketing Director, Warner Music Finland. He will now oversee marketing efforts for domestic and international artists throughout the Nordic countries, co-ordinating pan-regional activity and building relationships that help cultivate fan engagement and develop artist careers.
On making the appointment Jonas Siljemark said, “This central marketing role underlines our commitment to delivering best-in-class services to our artists and forging impactful promotional and commercial partnerships. Mark’s creativity in combining traditional, digital and live marketing, as well as his network of contacts and knowledge of the evolving entertainment landscape will all extend our ability to break both local and international artists across the region.”

Fry re-joined Warner as Director of Marketing Finland in 2008 from Sony BMG, where for three years he ran the international and domestic marketing teams, managed new business activities and set-up an extended rights division. Fry first started his career working for Warner Music in Finland in 1998, and over the course of six years he rose to become the Head of Marketing.
