Warner Music Group today announced the appointment of Alfonso Perez-Soto as Senior Vice President, Business Development, Latin America, Spain and Emerging Markets. Based in Miami, Perez-Soto will report to Inigo Zabala, President, Warner Music Latin America, for his work across Spain and Latin America, and Stephen Bryan, EVP Digital Strategy and Business Development, for operations in the emerging markets. This appointment marks the return of Perez-Soto to the company, having previously worked at Warner for six years, up until March 2011, as VP of Business Development, Latin America. The focus of his new role will see him identifying and developing innovative growth opportunities and overseeing ground-breaking digital expansion deals.

Perez-Soto re-joins Warner from Telefonica, one of the largest telecommunications providers in the world, where he served as VP, Content Corporate Unit. Prior to working at Warner he was Senior Business Developer for Universal Music Group in Latin America for seven years where he created the mobile network for music and music related downloads and previously held various senior positions at Nokia worldwide.
Perez-Soto has earned his J.D. and BA in Spain, LL.M in University of Miami, and received three major scholarships including Harvard Law School and two with the Spanish Foreign Office in Colombia 1995 and Brazil 1996.
