Warner Chappell Music France, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, has announced that it has signed a publishing administration deal with Lofi Records – the record label and publishing arm of the global entity and world-famous YouTube channel, Lofi Girl.
Lofi Girl is known for its 24/7 livestream – lofi hip hop radio – beats to relax/study to – the first ever music livestream on YouTube. Launched in 2017, the stream promotes a relaxing genre of instrumental music called lofi hip hop, and the video features the character Lofi Girl studying and listening to the music, which has connected with millions of students around the world.
The YouTube channel boasts more than 13.6 million subscribers with their radio hosting between 30,000 – 60,000 simultaneous listeners on any given day, making it one of the biggest livestreams in the world. The Lofi Girl character has also become an iconic figure in pop culture and has grown a community of fans.
Born from the incredible popularity of the YouTube channel was Lofi Records, which has become a worldwide leader in the lofi hip-hop genre and home to a number of artists, instrumentalists and songwriters. Under the new deal, Warner Chappell Music France will administrate the majority of Lofi Records’ artists and will look for sync opportunities which will help reach new audiences all around the world.

Lofi Girl recently released its first music video, Lofi Girl – Snowman. The clip gave fans a deeper look into the Lofi Girl character’s life and origins. It received more than 1 million views in just two weeks.
