Sean Garrett shared: “I am extremely excited and thankful for this opportunity to work with the amazing Warner Chappell publishing family. To work with greats like Ryan Press, Guy Moot, and the entire Warner family is a true blessing. My career has been unbelievable, and now working with this amazing team I know that this will be bigger than the last! I want to say thank you…and let’s goooo!”
Sean Garrett got his start in music in the early 2000s performing at talent shows, which led to a recording contract with Ariola/BMG at the age of 17. In 2003, record executive LA Reid signed him on as a songwriter and shortly after, his ballad “I Don’t Want To Hurt You” was released ft. R&B singer Latiff. Next came his Billboard No. 1 “Yeah!” by Usher ft. Lil Jon and Ludacris, which peaked on the R&B and Hip-Hop charts, ruled the Hot 100 for 12 consecutive weeks and hit No. 14 on its Hot 100 Greatest Hits of All Time chart. Garrett then launched his solo career, which resulted in the release of his debut album, Turbo 919, including lead single “Grippin” ft. Ludacris.
Throughout his career, Garrett has continued to deliver powerful anthems, including Fergie’s “London Bridge,” Pussycat Dolls’ “Buttons” ft. Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown’s “Run It,” and Enrique Iglesias’ “Dimelo.” He was also in a production duo with Swiss Beatz, and together they helped create several of Beyoncé’s singles, including “Ring the Alarm,” “Get Me Bodied,” “Upgrade U,” “Check on It,” “Diva,” and “Video Phone” from the Grammy-nominated album I Am…Sasha Fierce. In 2016, he was credited for producing 18 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles in seven years, which put him in the top five on the Billboard No. 1 Producer’s list and made him the first producer to achieve this milestone in under a decade. In addition, he’s received five BMI awards, including Urban Song of the Year in 2005 for Usher’s “Yeah!” He is currently working on new music with Atlanta-based Jermaine Dupri and R&B duo dvsn, as well as acclaimed singer/songwriter Summer Walker, Grammy-nominated 6LACK, and many other new and up-and-coming artists.
